EUV lithography is the key to the nanotechnology of tomorrow. The one-of-a-kind Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology from ZEISS enables chip manufacturers worldwide to project structures up to 4000 times thinner than a strand of human hair onto wafers. These increasingly smaller and powerful microchips are the foundation for microelectronic innovations, used in nearly every technical device today.

The ZEISS emblem exemplifies unparalleled precision and is associated with experts in various fields across the world – among them more than 35 Nobel Prize winners.

This image of the Canadian $100 bill is a great illustration of this statement. The microscope depicted here with a lab-coated researcher, is based on a Carl Zeiss Axioplan 2 imaging microscope used for cutting-edge health research. Inspiring.

When the ambition was set to send a man to the moon and return safe back to earth, many helped to make this dream come true. ZEISS also became part of this challenge. ZEISS camera lenses, specially designed for space, captured the iconic images of this monumental achievement on July 20, 1969.

The limits of what seemed possible were now redefined with the photos of a footprint symbolising this achievement, and seeing the earth rising for the very first time – images that would inspire mankind for generations to come.

We strive to foster a continuous dialogue with our customers and view ourselves as open, approachable partners they can turn to for professional support. One example of this is the collaboration between Hossinger Kunststofftechnik and ZEISS Industrial Quality Solutions – helping premature babies breathe on their own.

Pumping oxygen enriched air into a 400 g premature baby requires intricate, miniscule devices. It must be manufactured with the highest standards – that’s why Hossinger approached us for help. The ZEISS O-INSPECT was born as a result – technology giving Hossinger metrologists and 400 g babies ‘room to breathe’.

As a company owned by a foundation, responsibility and business success have been inextricably linked at ZEISS for years.

The Aloka Vision Programme, initiated by ZEISS, makes glasses available and affordable in rural, unserved areas in India. The programme is not a charity but a sustainable social business which addresses the root cause: lack of vision care infrastructure and eye care professionals. By involving and training locals to conduct eye tests, this initiative not only provides thousands with better vision, but also uplifts communities as a whole.
